The 16th International Conference on Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD 2016) was a three-day meeting from 24th – 27th July 2016, dedicated to the science and technology of thin films allowing fruitful exchange of ideas, know-how and practices between scientists. ALD 2016 was hosted in Dublin, Ireland and incorporated the Atomic Layer Etching 2016 Workshop, so that delegates at the two events can interact freely. The conference took place in The Conference Centre Dublin which provided a superb space to house the 804 delegates and exhibitors as well as host the Gala Dinner on the last evening.

The Research Institute for Sport and Exercise Sciences at Liverpool John Moores University hosted the 16th annual ECSS Congress in the state of the art convention centre on the banks of the world-famous River Mersey. The extensive and exciting scientific programme centred around the theme “New Horizons in Sports Sciences” and spanned all aspects of Sport and Exercise Sciences. The Congress attracted a record 2,300 international delegates from across the world, with the target audience representing leading researchers in sports science and education, sport and health experts.

The International Seed Federation (ISF) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization representing the seed industry. With members, ISF represents the mainstream of the world seed trade and plant breeders’ community, and served as an international forum where issues of interest to the world seed industry were discussed. Over 1,300 delegates from 61 countries attended the Seed Congress in 2011 in Belfast and the congress took place in the Waterfront Hall, Hilton Hotel and St Georges Market.

Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance hosted Airmed 2011 together with the European HEMS & Air Ambulance Committee (EHAC). This prestigious international congress was held in the UK, for the first time ever. It presented the latest facts on air rescue in the fields of emergency medicine, flight safety, management and maintenance. 700 international delegates attended the congress in Brighton, along with an aviation exhibition and flight demonstration at Dunsfold Aerodrome on Friday 27 May 2011.
